Riddler in Resident at Exeter Cathedral

Exeter Cathedral’s final Riddler in Residence is storyteller, author, kindness campaigner and tree planter, Bernadette Russell. Bernadette has performed and curated shows for many popular venues and festivals including Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, National Theatre, Thames Festival, WOW festival, and Latitude. She is also the author of six non-fiction books for children and adults, the most recent of which is Conversations on Kindness published on 27 March 2025.
As Riddler in Residence, Bernadette will be working with the public, local organisations and community groups to co-create a literary response to Exeter Cathedral’s fascinating collections, including medieval wax votives and the 10th century Exeter Book, and inspired by the theme of ‘Thank You’.
